  1. Language

Manuscripts can be submitted in English or Indonesian. For manuscripts in English, authors are encouraged to ensure professional proofreading by a native speaker or professional editor.

  1. General Requirements
  • Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not under review or published elsewhere.
  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
  • Manuscript Length: 5,000–8,000 words, including references.
  • Font: Palatino Linotype, size 12 pt.
  • Line Spacing: 1.15 spacing for the main body (Introduction to Conclusion).
  • Margins: Top 3 cm, Bottom 3 cm, Left 3 cm, Right 2.5 cm.
  • Pagination: Pages should be numbered consecutively.
  • Illustrations: All tables, figures, and illustrations must be clear, numbered, and captioned.
  1. Manuscript Structure
  • Title: Maximum 15–18 words, informative, bold, Title Case, 12 pt.
  • Author Information: Full names (without degrees), affiliation (Department, Faculty, University), and email.
  • Abstract:
    • Typed in Italic, font size 10 pt, with single spacing.
    • Length: 150–250 words in a single paragraph and one-column format.
    • If the article is in Indonesian, the abstract must be provided in both English and Indonesian.
    • Content: Problem statement, objectives, method, and scientific findings.
    • Specific Margins for Abstract: Left 25 mm, Top 30 mm, Right 20 mm, Bottom 20 mm.
    • Keywords: Include 3–6 keywords.
  • Introduction: Background, general literature review (state of the art), research gap  as a basis for the scientific novelty statement, research problem/hypothesis, objectives, and importance of the study.
  • Literature Review: Focuses on the theoretical gap and the latest theoretical developments from relevant textbooks or research.
  • Methods: Research design, data sources, collection techniques, and analysis methods used to solve the research problem.
  • Results and Discussion: Research findings and interpretations supported by adequate data to answer the research questions or hypotheses.
  • Conclusion: Summarizes findings (not repeating results) to address research objectives and provide suggestions for future research.
  • Acknowledgments (Optional): Credit to individuals or institutions that supported the research.
  • References:
    • Must use APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition Style.
    • Minimum 15-30 references.
    • At least 80% must be from primary sources (scientific journals) published within the last 10 years.
    • Include DOI where available.
    • The use of reference management tools like Mendeley is recommended.
  1. Tables and Figures
  • Tables: Numbered with titles placed above the table.
  • Figures/Illustrations: Numbered with captions placed below the figure.
  • Cite all tables and figures in the main text.
  1. Publication Ethics
  • Manuscripts must be original and plagiarism-free.
  • Data and results must be accurate and verifiable.
  • Proper attribution is required for third-party data and copyrighted material.
  1. Submission Procedure
  • Register and log in to the JISIPOL OJS system.
  • Click “New Submission” and follow the submission checklist.
  • Include a cover letter, abstract, and any necessary attachments.
  1. Review Process
  • Manuscripts undergo initial screening followed by a double-blind peer review.
  • Editorial decisions include: Accept without revision, Minor/Major revision, or Reject.
  1. Copyright and Licensing
  • Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license.
  • Authors retain copyright, but articles can be freely used with proper citation.
  1. Writing Tips
  • Use international literature and reputable journals to strengthen arguments.
  • Provide a strong theoretical discussion and highlight the study’s original contribution.
  • Ensure coherence between methods, results, and discussion.
  • Use clear, concise, and formal academic language.
